It was a beautiful cool morning today overlooking Shuqun Secondary School. 21st of July is the rememberance of the racial riots that happened in Singapore during 1964, where blood was spilled needlessly. We have come to learn that it is important to understand each other's cultures and that social division is a high cost to pay.
The day started by a speech with the principal, Mrs Chua, followed by a message by the student presenters after which the students took an oath of pledge.
The teachers looked beautiful in their colourful. traditional clothes.
