Shuqun wins Cineodeon Competition!

BlogMs is very happy to let you know that our very own media club has won the Cineodeon Competition!




What makes it more impressive that we were in the finals competing with top schools. But everyone had faith and encouragement to them.

Shuqun in the Cineodeon Finals!

Wow! BlogMs has some spectacular news to tell!



A few weeks back, the media club was participating the Cineodeon festival by trying to advertising and getting more people to watch two videos. Do you still remember the posters being shown around?


BlogMs just found out that we are in the finals! Everyone did not expect that! We will be competing with Dunman High School, Hwa Chong Institution and Singapore Chinese Girls' School and Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus Secondary Toa Payoh.

Woah! What an honour!

The construction has started

During the school holidays, BlogMs has noticed a couple of construction already going on in the school. The area where the basketball court is now under construction and the field has already black soil covering the area.



The area at the main entrance is fenced up too to expand with the open area next to it.

BlogMs will miss the old building as it gets demolished but is also curious and excited to know how the new area will look like!

But for memory sakes, BlogMs will put up a video done by the media club covering the teacher's day 2007 in the basketball court :

Principals Challenge

BlogMs has just come back from a lovely day at the Bukit Batok Nature Reserve for the Principal's Challenge. It was really nice to see so many of you participating by jogging and just being healthy :)

Photography Competition For all Shuqunites :D

As we all know, the School will be undergoing a renonvation change soon. With that, there is a photography competition with the theme, "Memories of Shuqun."

Congratulations to the NT Team!

BlogMs has just realised that we have some team representatives in the All Singapore Lower Sec Maths Competition for Normal Course 2008 held on the 26th June.

And BlogMs is happy to announce that the N(T) team has won the 4th placing. YAY!

Cooking Competition

BlogMs is quite regretful that she missed out on seeing the cooking competition. BlogMs would be sure to love seeing the process of cooking as well as ... eating the food :D



BlogMs heard that there is even chillycrabs being cooked ... yummy!

Emergency Exercise in Sqss

BlogMs had a very interesting time today in school, experiencing the emergency exercise.

We were supposed to enact a situation where there were an explosion in the science lab and then evacuate to the carpark. But did you know that there were a number of activities on going behind the scenes?



First, the emergency exercise teachers had to scour around to look for casualties. They went around all of the school and searched the rooms one by one.



Rooms which has no casualties are marked to let other people know that its been already checked.



Here is one of the casualties. He seems to have his knee hurt and cannot walk. The student helpers helped to carry him in the stretcher to the first aid room.



Where they will be taken cared of from the first aider.



And some of the teachers learnt some emergency exercise like putting out fires. BlogMs did not get a chance to see all of them unfortunately.

Drugbuster Bus

Not sure how long that the Drug Buster Bus will be here, but BlogMs loves the happy and cheeful look of the bus.



However, the outside is much different compared to the inside. Some parts are a little scary!
